THE BKiZ ACADEMY

From the organisers of BKiZ ihopeyoudance

After three successful editions of BKiZ we have decided to open The Academy, this should allow people the opportunity to learn from some of the best teachers in the scene.

Our aim is to not only expose you to different curriculums but also create an environment to help you connect with other passionate dancers and to practice what you’ve learnt.

As you all know we don’t offer workshops at BKiZ weekenders. Now there will be plenty of time to pick up new dance skills.

With all of that said let’s introduce you to your line up.

Lydia & Jonathan
The UK Champions 2023
Some of the most experienced social dancers
From local to international events they have danced everywhere. Coming to you with a fresh approach ready to get you going.
Lydia’s commercial dancing background and Jonathan’s ability to dance SBK exceptionally well results in a very different way of interpreting the music.

Hanna & Andrew
Queen of Hugs and Organiser of the peoples festival (Glasgow Kizomba Festival ) respectively.
Hanna has been teaching everywhere for years.
She leads and follows like no other and it brings her just as much joy to share her knowledge with others as others enjoy every opportunity to learn and dance with her.

Andrew has also been teaching everywhere for years. He’s a community creator and leader in Glasgow where he has taken people from 0 to Hero time and time again. One of the dance scenes gems filling every dance with fun, well timed tricks and moves


Aleks & Kris Tarrashow masters

Yes we are referring to the two that absolutely killed it at BKiZ performing for the first time in front of 400 people !

Tarraxo is what they love

Kris has a martial arts background and believes in earning one belt at a time so he’s made sure to earn his and will now help you earn yours

Alex has experience teaching with world renowned artists. She’s one of the first few people to get certified to teach Tarraxo internationally. Since then she has been spreading her knowledge and skills passionately.





Natalia & JayJay The UKs Finest Pair

Everything about these two is carefully thought through. From the way they dress to the way they teach. Utmost quality in walking form.
They are known for their exceptional attention to detail and their approachable personalities.
If you haven’t seen their social media content you’re in for treat.


We’re making it a point to put followers name first and intentionally brought all teachers as pairs
After all it takes two to tango.
