Latincafé Dox

Dox is the Nieuwe Luxor’s house café, you’re dancing in a theatre bar rather than a dedicated club. On Wednesdays the café runs a Latin social that mixes salsa, bachata and kizomba in a living-room style space of tables, chairs and a bar; music alternates between DJ sets and occasional live music or soundchecks from the theatre next door. Expect a blend of theatre-goers and regular dancers rather than a packed club.

Doors and opening hours follow Luxor programming, so nights with shows stretch late (café open until 01:00 on midweek event nights) and seating is often prioritised for ticket holders at the box office. The space is compact: plan for a cleared area rather than a big ballroom and for sudden loud moments during live-sound setup. If you’re dropping in, aim for post-show hours on Wednesday to find the floor moving.
