Thursday nights Mambo Salsa runs a free social at The Station, a compact Pigalle bar on Boulevard de Clichy a couple of doors from the Moulin Rouge. The room is a single bar space with a small cleared area and worn decor, Google reviews even name staff (Marcella, Sebastian), and the playlist mixes salsa, bachata and kizomba through the night. Entry is usually free for the Mambo Salsa soirée.

Mambo Salsa is an association that also lists classes (Salsa Cubaine, Bachata, Kizomba) on its site, so expect a crowd made up of class regulars rather than a pro scene. The venue stays open late (to about 03:00), is casual at the door and modestly priced according to reviews. Toilets and decor show wear; don’t expect a polished dancehall, it’s more a neighbourhood bar that clears a bit of floor for social dancing regularly.
