Avondale College is excited to present our school show for 2024: Chicago, High School Edition!

In roaring twenties Chicago, young Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap... until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another "Merry Murderess," Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today’s tabloids…

Avondale College's production of Chicago, High School Edition is directed by Rita Stone, with Musical Director Julie Garner and choreographer Santana Schmidt. The sassy score features one show-stopping song after another, including All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, and Razzle Dazzle.

The production runs in Week 9 for four nights only, from Wednesday 18 September to Saturday 21 September.
