101 - HOW TO ZOUK TECHNIQUES

For Brazilian Zouk dancers AND dancers of other genres: Bachata, Kizomba, Salsa, WCS etc.

Over the past years of teaching many bootcamps I developed this idea:
spending a whole day working on one specific technique under different perspectives

➡️ 1.5-2 hours FOUNDATION
Going into the very detail of the foundation of the specific technique. How to execute, how to lead and follow safely. Since we will have this time to work exclusively on this one technique we can go into all the drills and all the little details, to finally make you understand this technique.

➡️ 1,5 - 2 hours VARIATION
In the second block of the day we will use those foundation techniques to develop and train on variations of the specific technique. How can you use these techniques for different movements you have seen out there? We will have the time to train advanced techniques and transitions, that you usually don’t have time to train on.

➡️ 1,5-2 hours INTEGRATION
In the last block of the day we will work on integrating your new skill. This part could look differently depending on the specific edition.
We could have guest teachers from other genres such as Bachata, WCS, Kizomba or Salsa explaining how to integrate the new movements into your own dance genres.
We could have a guided Brazilian Zouk practice with individual feedback from Julinha for every participant.
Or we could have another Brazilian Zouk teacher guest teaching another fun variation they love to do with that technique so you get a more versatile perspective.
